Conveyor transfer strips with pop up ball transfers. Ball transfers raise above rollers to transfer items, retract below rollers so items move unimpeded on conveyor rolls when transferring item is not required.

PBT ball transfer strips integrate ball transfer table workstations with roller conveyor rollers so items by passing the workbench, move unimpeded by the ball transfers.

Pop up ball transfer strips used in roller conveyor line for turning and or positioning stations. Unlike standard ball transfer tables which may impede the free flow of items, the PBT ball transfers retract below the conveyor rollers turning and positioning is not required.

At the flip of a switch...
Omtec Pop Up Ball Transfers raise above the work surface and conveyor rollers to easily move items off the conveyor and onto the work surface.
Flip the switch again...
Omtec Pop Up Ball Transfers retract to firmly locate the item in a convenient stable position on the workbench to allow the required task to be performed on the item without it moving!

1) Items move along the conveyor to a position over the Omtec Pop Up Ball Transfer Strips. When retracted Omtec balls will not interfere with free travel of items on the roller conveyor.
2) The operator, with a common control raises the Omtec Pop Up Ball Transfers in the conveyor and on the table, then with minimal effort moves the item off the conveyor onto the workbench
3) After locating the item on the workbench, the operator retracts the Omtec Pop Up Ball Transfers to firmly locate it in a stabile convenient position.
Organized assembly lines
= more production!

Below is two of the most common progressive assembly line layouts using Omtec Ball Transfer Tables.
The line supervisor may send various kits down the roller conveyor line with the various items to be assembled.

Direction of flow shown above is to give a general idea how a conveyor and work bench assembly line works. Above, items proceed along the conveyor to each workstation. After all the required assembly steps are completed, the item advances forward to the inspection and shipping areas.

Below shows basically the same except the additional conveyor allows the item to be returned to the line supervisor for inspection before shipping.
Conveyor length between stations may be longer for more online storage for surges. Although these look rigid, they are flexible progressive assembly lines.

If an assembly task takes to long, a second station may be assigned the same task, cutting that task time in half. If a station is not needed it may be left unattended.
